A somewhat different birthday celebration

Drees & Sommer turns 50: The big anniversary in 2020 offers the company’s nearly 4,000 employees the opportunity to celebrate by looking forward to a sustainable and responsible future. Their way of doing this has been to come up with 50 community and environmental projects.

Instead of having an exclusive anniversary celebration, the employees decided last year to act in accordance with their sustainability principle and give something back to society – in the form of 50 community and environmental projects.

The ‘Dresos’ have been launching a project at each regional office since January 2020, and will continue with one project a week over 50 weeks of the year. The range of projects is huge. From insect protection to afforestation, from the construction of a garden terrace for a community project to helping young people getting started in their careers. And from supporting the construction of a school in Africa to a beach clean-up day in Dubai.
